Cannot enable any 2fa option

  Hello. I cannot enable 2fa on my site. I used to be able to, and then removed it at some point. Now I want to add it again, but it simply won’t let me. If I try sms, I do get the text, but when I enter the code, it says something like ‘An unknown error has occurred’. Ditto with authenticator, after I enter the code, that message appears. I’ve checked that the timezones are the same (I used to live in a different country, now in the US). I have poured over the options and requests from others online and cannot find any solution. Please help me fix this. Thanks.

  Hi there,

  I can confirm you have 2FA active on your account here: https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step/

  This will mean that no one will be able to access karenmcnultycomedy.wordpress.com since they will not have the authentication code necessary. Were you able to sort this out on your own, or did you need a hand still, possibly with another site
