Cannot Enable Gutenberg Editor

    I use the WordPress app on my computer and iPhone. I originally wanted to keep using the classic editor when the new update for the block editor came out. Now, though, I want to use the block editor, and if I edit my posts on a browser (FireFox or Chrome for example) then it works, but on my app, no matter how many times I restart the app, will NOT let me change to the block editor. I looked up a few ways to change it and it mostly involves using code, which I canNOT do. Other ways involved simply going to settings>>writing. I tried that, and they had a setting there that allowed them to switch back and forth, mine does not. Is my wordpress app not up to date, or am I doing something wrong?
