Cannot enter paypal subscription info
-
I entered the code for a monthly subscription to the text editor page of my WordPress site. The visual tab confirmed the correct view. However, once I updated the entry and previewed it, the code changed to a regular text without any functionality. Please advise how to correct the issue.

Hi there,
I see a PayPal button on this page, and confirmed that the button does direct to PayPal:

Thank you for your response. My trouble is deeper than linking the page to the home. I am trying to insert a Paypal subscription button onto the Partner-with-us page. If you look at the page, you will see a donate button for one-time donations. That is working fine. However, when I tried to insert the monthly subscription button from Paypal into my text editor page, it worked until I saved the changes by pressing the ‘Update’ button. Once I did that, the information I added showed up as normal text.
Please advise -
The process for a subscription button is almost the same as for a single-payment button.
Be sure to refer to the following instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/When you click on the Create a Button option, you will get a drop down menu. Be sure to select the option for Subscriptions, which will look like this after you select it:

I think the generated code for the email is the problem. The only thing that the Paypal administrator (for our organization) received was the code, which I think is the culprit. I have heard that the Paypal code does not work on a WordPress page.
A coworker has the subscription link with a drop-down menu on his WordPress donation page and it works.
Any suggestions of an alternative?

Hi again,
The code generated for email should work, but the website option will not.
If I were you, I’d confirm that the code that the person setting up the PayPal button generated was the correct code. The problem you’re describing is what would happen if they used the wrong code (and it does seem counter-intuitive to choose “email” rather than “website” when generating it, so it’s an easy mistake to make.)
If you wish, the person who you mention is the PayPal administrator is welcome to contact us directly through this thread or by using our support contact form:
