Cannot figure out how to make the side widget bar show up.

I apologize. I am just such a newb and I cannot figure out how to get my side navigation widget menu on the twenty eleven theme. Everything I’ve looked up says to go to directory then to content and I just can’t even find the directory. Help me please.

The live demo site is here http://twentyelevendemo.wordpress.com/I recommend that you see here http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/05/04/workings-of-duster/ for an article that describes all features of the Twenty Eleven theme, which is NOT designed to provide a sidebar on single posts when displayed on their own pages.
To populate the sidebars Ephemera Widget you can make use of the Aside or Link post formats when you create a new entry (or convert an old one).
