Cannot filter posts when set to 'your latest posts'.
-
Pique is a lovely theme and I’m really enjoying using it but for me, it works best when my Home page setting is selected to, ‘your latest posts’. However, my site has restricted areas that I want only members to see certain posts but they all present when the setting is left as your latest posts.
Surely there must be a way of still having the same design functionality while at the same time filtering posts for logged in/not logged in users?
I have a page entitled news which has shortcode ‘cherry picking’ categories that I want to show there. In other places I am using Categories as menu items but it’s all pointless if ALL posts present on the home page when a browser first lands. Please help! Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
When your Homepage Settings are set to Your Latest Posts then all post will display there in reverse chronological order by default in Infinite Scroll format (which can be disabled to show only a set amount if you prefer).
The only way to still have this set up in place but hide specific posts from the view of the general public would be to set these particular post’s Status to Password Protected and provide only the individuals you would like to see the post the password. For more information on how to do this please refer to the following documentation: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/.
Although they will all display on the Homepage due to the Your Latest Posts settings you could then add a specific Category to these Password Protected posts, ie. Protected and group them all to a particular page using a Category Page. For more information on this please check out this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
If you have any further questions or need any clarification please feel free to let us know!
Cheers
