Cannot find how to add links

  I am trying to add links to the ‘Links’ area in my widgets. However, in my dashboard, I cannot see any ‘Link’ area. My left colum in the dashboard starts with ‘Stats’ and then has several other items, however, I cannot see any ‘Link’ area….. how can I add links??thanks
