Cannot find out some feature

Dear support team,
It’s very very much hard to design a site on wordpress. I tried to follow the instruction but cannot find out some features tow work on it. Could you please advise me how to change the template of a site? I applied the free theme but it did not appear as shown. Moreover, how to add another language on my site.
The last question is about the name of the site. I opened a site and then delete it. Could I use the name of that site for my new one.

Could you please advise me how to change the template of a site?
There’s more than one way to change your theme. You can go to My Sites > Themes and activate that way or from our Theme Showcase click on the theme you’re interested in. On the right you’ll find a button for the Demo Site and another one to activate the theme on your site.
I applied the free theme but it did not appear as shown.
Each WordPress.com theme has a corresponding instructional page to help you setup the different features that the theme offers. Please share the site URL that you’re working on and I’ll gladly take a look.
For example, this is the instructional page for our Karuna Theme:

There are a few options to create a multi-language site. This guide outlines those different options.
The last question is about the name of the site. I opened a site and then delete it. Could I use the name of that site for my new one
Site deletion is a permanent option. This is why you are required to confirm the deletion by typing the site URL into the confirmation box.

Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

Hi Dani –
I see that you’ve added a static Home page with your posts publishing to the Tips page.
https://diyideacorner.wordpress.com/category/tips/The Sela setup instructions mention adding a featured image to the static Home page. You can do this by going to My Sites > Page > Home > Featured Image (on the left).
Sela also supports different page templates for displaying your posts. Are you interested in setting up the grid or full width page template?
