Cannot find plugins option on Admin menu
-
Hi, I cannot see the Plugins option on my menu. I have looked for the right answer in the forums, but haven’t found a solution. One of the potential problems mentioned was that I am not an admin. When I go to users, my role is set as “Administrator”, however I cannot see another user that I have invited and who accepted.
What should I do to activate my plugins?

Hi,
We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org. You can find out more about this topic here: http://support.wordpress.com/plugins/
However, we do have several built-in features that were inspired by many popular plugins. You might find what you want by searching for it at http://en.support.wordpress.com/
What feature are you looking to add with a plugin?

Hi!
Thanks for the explanation.
I am looking for a plugin to publish photos via an album or slideshow, and possibly a tool that automatically reduces pics to the right size for web pages.
Is anything like this available for wordpress.com?
Thanks!

Hi,
Have you seen our page on Image Galleries:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/
Or Slideshows:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/
Take a look through those two pages and let me know if you have any questions.
Also, our uploader automatically resizes images when you add them to your Media Library. You end up with multiple different sizes you can insert into your posts or pages.
