cannot follow instructions for disabling comments

  I want to remove all facility for making comments or Leaving a Reply. I want the site to be one-way only i.e. our writing and no comments whatsoever. Like a series of postcards.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  ? You’ve already done that for all your static pages.

  By the way, your front page intro should be a static page, not a post. Edit the post, switch the editor to Text, select all, copy. Then go to Pages > Add New, enter title, switch the editor to Text, paste, publish. Then go to Settings > Reading and set the blog front to display this newly published page. Then go to Posts > All Posts and trash the post.
