Cannot get answer to my questions regarding domains.
-
I believe this is the fourth request I’ve sent in the past week. I have spent money which I shouldn’t have, and may have needed to cancel or otherwise work something out but I can’t get assistance!!! Nobody responds!!!
I have two domains: charleskruger.wordpress.com and
theatrestorm.wordpress.comby mapping, I can reach charleskruger.wordpress.com via stormingbohemia.com
I wanted to set up my account so that I could reach theatrestorm.wordpress.com via stormingbohemia.theatrestorm.com and/or theatrestorm.com
I messed it up when I made my purchase. Now if I use theatrestorm.com or stormingbohemia.theatrestrom.com I reach charleskruger.wordpress.com which I do not want.
I keep asking and asking and asking and nobody responds.
Please assist.
Blog url: http://charleskruger.wordpress.com/ -
please a typo paragraph 5 above: the second domain mentioned should be stormingbohemia.theatrestorm.com (not theatretrom.com)

Hi there,
It sounds like you wanted to map theatrestorm.com to theatrestorm.wordpress.com. Is this correct?
If so, I can switch this for you. Can you please confirm that this is what you would like to do?
-
Yes, I would like to do this!
Also, stormingbohemia.theatrestorm.com should map to theatrestorm.wordpress.com. (It currently maps to charleskruger.wordpress.com).
Ultimately this is what I’d like to see:
theatrestorm.com maps to theatrestorm.wordpress.com
stormingbohemia.theatrestorm.com maps to theatrestorm.wordpress.com
stormingbohemia.com continues to map to charleskruger.wordpress.comThank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Hi there,
I’ve mapped theatrestorm.com to theatrestorm.wordpress.com, as you requested.
If you’d like to map stormingbohemia.theatrestorm.com to theatrestorm.wordpress.com (or any other WordPress.com blog), you’ll need to purchase a separate domain mapping.
In that case, these instructions should come in handy:

Thanks.
I’m still a bit confused as when I test theatrestorm.com in my address bar it still brings me to charleskruger.wordpress.com, not theatrestorm.wordpress.com.
As far as the other issue, I’m not sure I fully understand what it is that I want. The two blogs (Storming Bohemia and Theatrestorm) are thematically linked. What I envision is a large site that has multiple blogs within it. Storming Bohemia is the big site (analogous to a mall) and TheatreStorm is within it (analogous to an autonomous store inside the mall). And, eventually, I would be adding other “mall stores” as well. Does this make sense? Is it really necessary?
Apparently, at this point, the domain name “stormingbohemia.theatrestorm.com” exists – because it delivers me to charleskruger.wordpress.com. So I don’t understand why I need to purchase it.
I hope this is clear; I am confused, so it is difficult to explain the issues.
Thanks!

Aha! The issue of the mapping of theatrestorm.com to theatrestorm.wordpress.com is resolved; that was a browser issue.
But I am still confused about “stormingbohemia.theatrestorm.com”. If it is currently mapped (as it apparently is) to charleskruger.wordpress.com why can’t that map be changed?
And then, of course, I’m still confused about my “mall” analogy.
Help?

Well, stormingbohemia.theatrestorm.com is not actually mapped. You’ve basically direct created the subdomain to redirect to your blog rather than map it (replace the URL all together).
If you’re happy with that, then I don’t recommend changing it.
-
Well, I want stormingbohemia.theatrestorm.com to redirect to the correct blog. At this point, it redirects to charleskruger.wordpress.com and I want it to redirect to theatrestorm.wordpress.com.
Can you explain how to make that fix? THEN I would be happy!

This fix will need to be made through your domain registrar. The redirect is happening on their end, and we have no control over that.
