Cannot get images to display properly (won't align, change size)

    I’m having several problems getting images to display properly on a blog I manage since updating from the Twenty-Twelve to Twenty-Fourteen theme. I’ve done a fresh install of the theme, thinking it might have been corrupt, and removed all edits to the custom CSS.

    I can’t get images to display in the right place or at the right size. Take this page, for example. In the editor, I have the first image (of the lemur) on the right, with the text wrapped around it, and at full size. Live, it displays left, off the page, and at about a tenth of its size. What’s causing this? I’ve tried deleting the image, reuploading and reinserting, but it keeps coming out like this or worse. I’m having different problems with other images – some won’t centre align.

    It’s not consistent (some images will align where I want them, for example), and the main problems are with posts done in the old theme (Twenty Twleve, without any changes other than a reskin). Annoyingly, when I migrate back to the old theme the images are still off, whereas they weren’t before.

    I am having one issue when making new posts, which is that images stick out from the body of text, as here. Is there anything I can do about this? I had previously amended the custom css to expand the width of the page, but it just made this issue worse as the images extended behind the widget bar.

    Any advise would be appreciated. Do i need to re-do these posts altogether?
