Cannot get into dashboard to update my widgets

  I am lost. I have a WP blog through Dreamhost and when I log in at WP.com and click on Dasboard it is not giving me access to my blog to update, it is just a generic site. How do I log into my blog? I do not have a log in option on my blog site.
