Cannot get test emails to send

  • Unknown's avatar

I am trying to set up Postman SMTP and link it with my gmail account so that I can add a Pop-up Subscription box to my website, but am having trouble and now get the error that:
Verification failed for <(email visible only to moderators and staff)> No Such User Here Sender verify failed. Is there somewhere I am supposed to set up the account ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ either in Bluehost, WordPress or my Gmail account? Right now the only address I’ve entered is my personal email account (I think).

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We cannot help you with that site here at wordpress.COM.

We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.

Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin.

You are posting to the wrong support forum.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
    Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Thanks for your reply, but I guess I’m confused because my site is a .com and not a .org. Still posting to the wrong site?

I’m reading through the differences in wordpress.com and wordpress.org. Thanks for sharing that. I’ll see if I can reach out to the appropriate support. Thanks for your help though! I’m knew to the website world and I’m finding it very challenging to figure it out and get support.
