Cannot get the sidebar created or the other widgets for blog posts, linking etc.

Dear Happiness Engineer,
I cannot get my sidebar to activate on the side but only on the bottom of all my categories, etc.
I did try to fix it myself but my inability to resolve this issue makes me question the expense of my education and my self-esteem plummets.
Would you be so kind as to correct it so that the sidebar is on the side and links, etc. are where they can be seen near the top of the header instead of on the very bottom?

If you want widgets in a sidebar then you’ll have to change to another theme. Chaos Theory is designed to have one column with widgets on the bottom.
