Cannot get to my Home Page

  I’m new to WordPress. I now know that my home page is a blog and that it is not listed in my Page menu. (That took a while to figure out.) But what I cannot figure out is how to return to this “front blog page” once I start navigating around the rest of my website.

  Currently I have three pages that appear at the top of my website. When I first logon, I see the unnamed Blog page. When I click on one of the other pages, the website of course goes to that page. But then I cannot figure out how to get to the “home” blog page. The only way I can do it is to log off of the site, and restart the browser. Surely there is a way to navigate between the home blog page and other pages of the website without having to close the browser and restart. Can anyone unlock the mystery for me? Thanks.

  https://mideastroots.wordpress.com/ is your homepage. That’s why the “Home Page” link is underscored in the menu when you visit that page. Whenever a visitor, including yourself, leaves this page to visit a post or a page on the site, they can return to it by clicking on the “Home Page” link in the menu.

  Unlike static pages the default blog page has no extension in the URL.

  • Home Page, containing posts stream by default, no URL extension — https://mideastroots.wordpress.com/
  • My Blog, a static page, with an extension in the URL — https://mideastroots.wordpress.com/my-blog/

  If you want the “My Blog” page to display posts then see the “Optional – Create a Blog Page” section of the Set a Static “Home” Page support page.

  If you set a static page to display your posts, then you’ll have to select another static page to be your front page. Both modifications can be made at the top of the Reading Settings page (path = dashboard admin panel > Settings > Reading). Yours is https://mideastroots.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php.

  If you set a static page to display your posts

  Poor wording. Any page assigned to display your posts would not be static. If a page is not assigned to display posts, it is static.
