cannot get web site to appear without the word "wordpress" on url

    My goal is to have a self-hosted blog/web site at ellathedoggy.com. I paid the $13 fee because I already had the domain name. I mapped the site to have ellathedoggy.com as the main site, but the only site that comes up is one for ellathedoggy.wordpress.com. Again, it says that I have already “mapped” ellathedoggy.com. Two questions: Do I currently have a self-hosted blog or is that some kind of upgrade that I need to pay? 2) How can I get the “worpress” word off my url to read just ellathedoggy.com. thank you.

    First, we need to determine if you want a WordPress.com site, or a self-hosted, WordPress.org site.
