Cannot import Blogger XML file

Hi Folks. I’m new to WordPress having decided, after many years, to give up with Blogger.com.
I’ve been using the free version of WordPress at StevePalmerTheBlogger.wordpress.com for a while now and have managed to successfully import all my old blogger data using the import tool.
With that success I decided I would purchase a WordPress site hosted by ionis.co.uk. Setting up that new site was easy as it’s mostly manage by Ionis. However, when I tried to import the same data form my old Blogger site, using the import tool in the dashboard the following error message came up and I therefore can’t import my blogger data
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /homepages/0/d770584787/htdocs/app770584978/wp-content/plugins/blogger-importer/blogger-importer.php on line 227
I don’t understand why it would import OK on the free WordPress site, but is failing on the paid-for WordPress site.
Can I fix this error myself as I would really like to move over to the paid WordPress site and close down my free WordPress site.

Hi there,
Looks like you’re in the wrong forum. Since the paid site is using the open source WordPress.org software and it is not hosted on WordPress.com like the free one, you need to seek help at these forums:

These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:
