Cannot Import XML file

  I tried uploading my wordpress xml to important but my limit is 4mb and the file is 8mb.

  My host cannot make my limit bigger when I asked them. Is there a way for me to use ftp to upload the xml instead of form upload or how do i use a xml splitter to split the xml up into 2 files as it is over 2000 pages
