Cannot keep manual domain mapping renewal
-
Hello everyone. I don’t like leaving my credit card info with any website. Domain mapping seems to default to autorenewal, which means storing my credit card. If I would like to opt out of this, I need to contact support every year and ask to disable autorenewal. This is peculiar because I’m not aware of any other business that makes it difficult to opt out of autopayment.
What’s a good way for one-time payment at the time of renewal without having my credit card info stored with WordPress?

All those with upgrades have access to live chat support. You can access live chat by logging in to your WordPress.com account and going to this link: https://wordpress.com/help/contact
See here please: https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#auto-renew
If you prefer to renew your upgrades manually and wish to have Auto Renew disabled, please contact support https://wordpress.com/help/contact for assistance.

I did contact support and was told that I will have to disable Auto Renew every single year by contacting support. So according to support, there is no option to permanently disable automatic renewal. In other words, every year I renew my domain mapping, automatic renewal is enables by default and has to be disabled by contacting support every single year.
