Cannot leave comments…help!

I keep writing comments on other ppls blogs, but it doesn’t show up. I hit submit like usual, but I cannot see it on other ppls sites. Also, it doesn’t show up in my dashboard as “commented”.
What happened? I used to be able to comment on other’s blogs with no problem.

it’s possible that your comments are being moderated. some themes do not let you know that, while other themes show that your comments are being moderated.

I thought that at first, but I’ve commented on 10+ blogs and none of them are showing up.

hmm, i didn’t. my comments setting is minimal, you should be able to comment in it. this sounds like a bug. either your comments will appear eventually, or it will not. if the latter, you should report to support so they can handle this.

wait. i got it, it’s in my spam folder. which means you’re most likely considered spam in all the blogs you’ve commented in. you might want to notify those bloggers to fish your comment out, but if they check their spam folder frequently, they would see yours and unspam it, and you would be able to track your comments via the ‘my comments’ feature in dashboard.

I’m having this same problem Amanda. It’s really frustrating as I had no problems earlier in the afternoon and then last night not one of my comments would show up. I found out today that my comments were going to spam folders and I have been posting comments on all these blogs for months without any problems or anything going to moderation.
I feel better knowing I’m not the only one having problems, but I am really frustrated because I don’t understand why this is happening and who knows if anything is being done to correct it.

Grrh. I e-mailed the spam company for WP AkiSpam and I e-mailed WP support. I’ll let you know if I hear back from anyone.
Totally annoying.

I sent them (WP) an email too. It is so frustrating especially since it seems those who don’t have WP aren’t having any problems.

If you know some bloggers here at wordpress.com or other bloggers using Akismet, contact them and tell them you are going to leave some comments on their blogs and ask them to despam them for you (they can delete them later if they wish). Akismet will then learn that you are not spam, but it may take a few days.

problem it I haven’t had any problems until last night and I have been visiting these same sites for months. I was having no problems yesterday until last night. I posted all through the day and then after dinner nothing would post. I guess I don’t understand if I wasn’t considered spam before, why am I now being considered spam?

I have also had this problem the last few days. When I realised my comments were not showing up I re posted but then it would say ‘you have already commented’.
I have just ask someone who’s blog I commented on to check their spam box. Will see if that works.
