Cannot link WordPress URL to my Blogger hosting
-
Hi, I’m trying to use my WordPress domain (radicalcentristtimes.com) to point towards my hosting on Blogger.
Bear with me, I’m a tech guy, but the formatting between Blogger’s directions and WordPress’s input options are disjointed.
I found two threads where people sought instructions, but WordPress mods just did the work for them, so there’s no documentation on the fix.
First off, when trying to add a Custom URL to blogger, I get the following prompt:
“We have not been able to verify your authority to this domain. On your domain registrar’s website, locate your Domain Name System (DNS) settings and enter the following two CNAMEs: (Name: www, Destination: ghs.google.com) and (Name: [redacted_value#1], Destination: [redacted_value#2].dv.googlehosted.com). See https://support.google.com/blogger/answer/1233387 for detailed instructions.”
The above instructions would indicate that there are TWO input fields PER CNAME (“Name” and “Destination”). However, on WordPress’s “Nameserver” options, there is only ONE input field per CNAME.
Here’s an example of my attempt to format the input: https://imgur.com/Gvj0icB
What am I doing wrong? Should I be editing other WordPress settings than “Nameserver”. Any help thanks in advance.

Alright figured it out by peeking at another DNS site’s config layout.
Instead of editing WordPress’s “Name servers” add the info via “DNS records” -> Manage -> Add a record -> CNAME.
Works now.
