Cannot load JetPack on new blog, keeps referring to my old un-used blog
-
I would like to load JetPack on a new website I have created . It is self hosted with WordPress.org ( if I understand this correctly). But to load the JETPACK, it says I have to sign in to WordPress.com to get it. No password works, so I ask for new….But, it sends me an email for an old blog I haven’t even touched in almost 3 years. Had old website under that same name, no longer active. Newly created website is a completely different name but I have same email address. Can you help get me help for a NEW website which only needs access to get the Jetpack plugin completed?
new one is thehypertufagardener.com
old site was ohiosmithfamily.com -
I’d like to see if I can unravel this for you.
Each Jetpack connection requires an active WordPress.com account. Each WordPress.com account has a unique email address associated with it.
When you attempt to connect to Jetpack, if you are using an email address already associated with an older WordPress.com account, it will connect to that account.
If you want to use Jetpack with a different WordPress.com account, you can enter a different email address in the connection process, assuming you have a separate account. If not, you can go to http://wordpress.com and create a new account for this purpose.
