cannot log in
-
I created our website years ago, being a total nitwit; I havn t touched it since. i don’t get a result when I look for our website directly, but undirectly people can still find it (you get on the contact-page via google and can then view the entire website)
I want to get the website down, temporarily or permanently, but I can not log in with my old data. The system does not even recognize my emailadress.
Anyone got an idea ? -
ok, update: I CAN log in, but when i go to ‘mywebsite’ i get a notice that I havn’t got one yet. When clearly I do or did and can still find it undirectly on the internet.

Your website doesn’t seem to be hosted by WordPress.com, instead it is using the WordPress.org software on your own server (self-hosted). This forum is for providing support only for websites hosted on WordPress.com. You could access your website from http://www.rikvandewouwer.com/wp-admin and go from there.
There are two versions of WordPress – WordPress.com and WordPress.org. You can find more information about the differences between them here.
For further help I would suggest that you look at the support page of WordPress.org and their forum – https://wordpress.org/support/. If you don’t have an account there you can create one for free here.

ok, i have tried your link before but I get:
Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at 127.0.0.1:51570. This could mean your host’s database server is down. -
In this case I would suggest that you look at the support page of WordPress.org https://wordpress.org/support/ and/or contact your hosting provider. Also please make sure that the login information in your wp-config.php is correct. The file is located on your server so you or the web developer who set up the website should have access to it.
