Cannot log in despite having the correct password
-
Hello, I have a very old blog at WordPress.com. For privacy reasons, I’d prefer not to name is in public, but of course, I’d be glad to name it privately to staff.
Recently, when I tried to log in, I was told that the account was blocked for security reasons. (I don’t know why that is so. Maybe it’ because I’m using a VPN and so I’m access WordPress with different IP addresses from different countries; or maybe because I did not log in for quite a long time.)
Regrettably, I have no access to the current email address, and I don’t have any Transaction ID, Activation key or Two-Step Authentication Code. (My account is very old).
But I still have my user name and my valid password to prove I’m really the owner. (I tried to use a wrong password just to see what would happen and to see the difference.)I also have some specific information (like original email address to register the blog, name of a draft that was never published, location from where I accessed the blog some years ago) which were never displayed publicly and which only the owner of the blog who had access from the very start could know.
In another thread, in a somewhat different case, it was said that, if the user there remembered his password, you might be able to help him.
https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/primary-email-disabled-and-i-cant-recover-my-password/#post-32115I would be very glad if you could help me, since I still have my valid Login Credentials and since I never did anything wrong (apart from not caring enough about my email).
