Cannot log in, error when trying to change password
-
When I try to chage password I get the error ‘ERROR: Unreadable CAPTCHA token file’
-
Hello there!
That error may be coming from the SI CAPTCHA Anti-SPAM Plugin. You may need to change the permission of the temp directory located within the plugins captcha directory to 777.
You can do this from the file manager. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards!

Hi there,
What is the URL of the website where you are trying to log in or what is the name of your account on the WordPress.com platform you need assistance with?
-
Thank you for the replies.
The website is http://blogs.exeter.ac.uk/csdc/. I managed to log in the other day but now it no longer works and when I try to change password I get the above error.
Re the SI CAPTCHA Anti-SPAM Plugin. I searched in my file manager for a directory with that name but I do not find it

Ok. Here’s another thing you can try to do. You can try deactivating all plugins on your site(from the file manager) then see if you can proceed to change your password.
To deactivate the plugins
– navigate to /wp-content then locate the plugins folder.
– rename the plugins folder to plugins-ts for example
– Go back and try to change your password or login. -
