Cannot log in with newly-created admin username

Hello,
I’m the creator of todayincthistory.com, which to my knowledge is a Business Plan wordpress.com site (i.e. not wordpress.org). Yesterday I created a new user account with admin privileges for a co-worker to use, via the “Users >> Add New” feature in the wp-admin back end of the todayincthistory.com website. However, every time she tries to log in — using either her username OR her associated email — she receives a “User Does Not Exist” error.
This happens regardless if she tries logging in via wordpress.com/login OR todayincthistory.com/wp-admin.
She has tried resetting her password, and when she does, that appears to go through successfully. However, even after that, she still receives a “User Does Not Exist” error when she tries to log in.
Please advise!

Well… she can’t post here directly because she is unable to login to WordPress.
I created a new account for her via the wp-admin “Users >> Add New” sidebar. I can still see the account I created for her when I look at “Users >> All Users” on todayincthistory.com — and yet, you are saying you do not see any other usernames connected to the site? I followed all the prompts on the “Users >> Add New” in order to create her account. Is there some additional step I am missing?

Also, her username is her full name, so I’m not very comfortable posting it in these public forums. Would it be possible to PM you directly with her username? It is grayed out in the “Edit User” page, with italics that say “Usernames cannot be changed,” so I am definitely under the impression that it is a permanent WordPress username.

Rather than PMing, we’d suggest using chat — that way we can respond much more quickly. Or if you prefer, you can actually type out her email address and we can look her up that way.
One suggestion too: can you try removing the account from wp-admin, then it via WordPress.com > My Site > People?

Ah, I failed to note: if you type her email address here, it will automatically redact so only staff can see it. So it’s safe to type the actual address.
