Cannot log into my blog.

    The person who was trying to help had to leave for the nite and I still can’t log in. I’ve changed my password, etc, and am at a loss. Please help!

    Hi there,

    We’d be happy to help, but we require one vital piece of information. What is the URL of your website?

    Bare in mind that if your websites uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, you should post in the self-hosted forums or alternatively contact your hosting prover. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Let us know this information and we’ll try and move forward. :)

    Hi there lizkarkoski – bless you for answering my request!

    In advance, I apologize profusely at how complicated this is. Yikes.

    Here’s the rundown –

    My name is Michelle Grim. I have a blog/site at http://www.lifeafterministry.com.

    Last nite, around 6 pm American PT I could no longer access my site. I tried numerous things and finally caved by notifying you nice people at WP. I also asked my volunteers if they were having issues. One who has access to the site reported she did not. Her access name is Melissag71.

    So last nite an awesome guy by the name of Dave tried to help for awhile but it got late and he had to leave for the evening.

    Woke this morning and I still didn’t have access so I phoned my volunteer named above and have used her password, etc to get access to the site.

    The site says I’m logged in as Michelle140, and no one knows what this means, including me! Yikes.

    When Dave tried helping last evening he sent me links to click and he stated his info showed I was corresponding(?) as lifeafterministry. When I’d click on the link he provided it’d tell me I couldn’t have access to the site.

    My volunteer Melissa, and I, have been running this blog/site since 2013.

    I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to being tech savvy, but I’ve not seen anything like this at all.

    One more caveat – Google notified me that I had to verify my password about 4 or so hrs ago. When I did that, the site lifeafterministry.com told me I didn’t have authority to be on the site.

    Okay, sorry for the drama., sigh..

    I so appreciate the help. Our ministry is to help place women/kids in safe housing, amongst other issues and my e-mails are going crazy asking why there’s no updates on the site.

    Hi Michelle, it sounds like you just have multiple accounts, and not all of them have access to the site. Dave is correct; lifeafterministry is the correct account.

    If lifeafterministry is your account, try logging out and logging in again as that user. You’ll can log out here:
    https://wordpress.com/me/account

    Then you can log in again with the lifeafterministry username. If you need to reset the password, you can.
