cannot log into my existing blog under the new interface
-
I can’t log in to my existing blog; your new interface tells me I don’t have a blog – I have two! What has happened??? My URL: http://karmamusings.wordpress.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Are you trying to access them at this link? Is it this page that doesn’t show them?
http://wordpress.com/my-blogs/ -
Yes, that’s right. However, also, when I do what I normally used to do to login (go to karmamusings.wordpress.com/wp-admin) it tells me I’m not a registered user of that blog – because of the (apparently new?) conjunction between Gravatar and WordPress, which I guess was initiated across all blogs, and was not something I did. I am the only admin/user of my blog, and don’t know how to “log out” of the gravatar username and get back to the username I normally log in with.

Okay, sorry to hear that. I’ll tag this for staff assistance and someone should be able to look into it for you soon.

@gurukarmkhalsa
How many username accounts do you have?
Which username account registered the blog you cannot access?
What is the blog’s URL?You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
and if required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery. -

OK, A) the URL of the blog is (as mentioned in my first post) karmamusings.wordpress.com; also, its predecessor was gkkk04.wordpress.com. Neither one shows up in the link you give, either hidden or otherwise.
The problem here is this username that’s been *assigned* to me via the Gravatar linking – I did NOT link Gravatar; apparently the current WordPress interface automatically did that. I’ve never used my name “gurukarmkhalsa” as a login to WordPress. Therefore, when I do the “lost password” process, and come back to what’s supposedly my dashboard, there is no info about my actual existing blog, and when I click on my name (upper right) all it says is “create a new blog!” And when I try to login with my actual/former username, it tells me the password (I just created) doesn’t match the username. If I login with my email and the new password, I get to the same screen that claims I have no blog.
I’m just going in circles here! Arrgghh!! Further ideas?

I see I forgot to add B). Which was the second paragraph :-)
When I say “there is no info about my actual existing blog” what I mean is there are no links to pages/posts/media etc – no left-hand nav – because apparently WordPress suddenly thinks (as I said) that I have no blog. :-(

Sorry I did not detect the URL as it was not entered as a URL and I’m visually challenged.
It’s this blog that you want access to http://karmamusings.wordpress.com/
And this one is not being used
http://gkkk04.wordpress.com/I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Thank you, @timethief. Sorry about the mixup with the URLs. Yes, you have it right; http://karmamusings.wordpress.com/ is the current blog; http://gkkk04.wordpress.com/ is the predecessor.
And I am subscribed to this thread.

Thanks for confirming the URLs. Staff will get to this thread as soon as they answer the threads that were tagged for their attention before this one was tagged.

Hi gurukarmkhalsa,
It appears you have two different WordPress.com accounts. There are no blogs associated with gurukarmkhalsa, but there are several under the account that owns karmamusings.wordpress.com.
If you’re not sure what your other account name is, you can try using different email addresses you may have used to sign up for that account on our password recovery form, and see if you can regain access that way:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpasswordsIf you still cannot sort it out, you can click on the “Need more help?” link on that page.

jackiedana – THANK YOU! You gave me exactly the reminder/nudge I needed to try something different than I had been doing. I’m now logged into my correct account, and changed (and wrote down!) the password and accompanying email.
This is what one gets for having too many email accounts!
Thank you all for all your help and rapid responses.
