I have opened an online ‘Dropship,me store. I am unable to access my Dashboard. I was able to log on to the dashboard once, but suddenly i was being logged straight into the Store. I am a late learner of the computer, and I am struggling. Can you help me please? this is what dropship,me has offered:- ”Hello, the matter is that the issue appears on your end and it can be in your browser cache, or other browser features, or in the device you are using to access the dashboard. I can recommend you to contact the hosting support and ask them to create a new WordPress user for you.” this I cannot fathom out. I will pay to overcome this problem if necessary. Thank You & Regards.

  • I don’t see any WordPress.com sites under your account here.

What is the URL of the site with the problem?

  • Ah okay. I’m sorry, this site is a free (DIY) WordPress installation hosted by GoDaddy rather than our services.
    https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

We’re not able to do anything from our end as it’s not on our service. Here’s what you can do though:

    – Check to see if you have an admin email with clues

    – Ask your host to check error logs

    – If this happened with a recent theme or plugin update or install, you can manually remove one like so (especially if it’s mentioned in errors):
    https://wordpress.org/support/article/managing-plugins/#manual-uninstallation

    – Ask your host to help you restore a good backup

Going forward, you’ll also want to use the correct forums for self-managed installations:
    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Or, you’d be welcome to migrate your site to our services once this is resolved so we can provide support, security, and maintenance, as well as hosting. You can find our pricing here:
    https://wordpress.com/pricing

    Hoping this helps!

    Thank You for your reply.
    One last maybe!
i noticed this on a mail from Dropship,me:
    jdsmensfashions.com/wp-admin
This originally took me to the dashboard a few times, & then stopped.
I could log onto my store, but no dashboard enabling me to
    import new products.
Would this help you to solve it?
    Regards.

  • Hi again,

To clarify once again, because your site is on a different provider and not “hosted on WordPress.com” we are not able to look into this issue. This is the support forum for WordPress.com sites only, and not sites on other hosts.

The site jdsmensfashions.com appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on GoDaddy Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

    You can confirm here: https://gwhois.org/jdsmensfashions.com+dns

To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and GoDaddy also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.

However, the good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through the GoDaddy, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

You can ask GoDaddy support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.

Hope that points you in the right direction!
