Cannot login due to old email and forgotten password

  I have gone through the account recovery process but havent got any proof of account identification.

  I know my old email address but this shut down. I have checked all my saved passwords for my account but none seem to work now.

  any help?

  If and only if you are referring to a site with a .wordpress.com URL, you may have to use the “Extra Details” section at the bottom of the account recovery form to communicate with Account Recovery Staff as Support Staff cannot help you.

  You must complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery so you can be contacted by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access. Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

  Cant do any of that without proof of ownership.

  Shame that there is no other way of communicating with someone….

  Exactly which username account registered that site?
