Cannot opt for domain mapping service without plan up-gradation?

    I have been using domain mapping service ($13 annual cost) since 2012 and was not able to renew this on time this year due to lack of funds. Today, I realized that now this service is something that only user accounts with one of WordPress plans subscription can opt for. This is highway robbery!
