Cannot Pay for Domain Mapping

    I am trying to point my registered domain to my new wordpress blog. I have tried “Add domain to blog”, then “register domain” on the next page, then confirming through as much of the PayPal prompts as possible. Once I arrive at the PayPal page showing the list of charges, there is a button that says “continue” and I am told I’ll be able to confirm the charge on the next screen.

    When I hit “continue” I am returned to wordpress.com instead of a PayPal confirmation page. The money is not deducted and the new domain is not visible on my domains list.

    What’s going on?

    I was able to fix this problem myself. For posterity, here is what I did:

    For some reason the PayPal verification process was failing. I opened up another tab in the same browser (Firefox) and logged into PayPal. Once I had successfully logged in, the payment process initiated by WordPress succeeded.

    If you are suffering from this problem, log into PayPal before trying to authenticate the payment from WordPress!

    I’m having a similar problem renewing my CSS subscription but this solution did not help.

    I’m getting an error when logged into paypal and confirming the “PayPal balance” source of payment. this is the error:

    “not_subscribed: this blog is not subscribed to some of these products. did you mean to purchase them?”

    I’ve been seeing this error every few days when I try again to renew and have been hoping it would just clear up, but now my CSS subscription has expired and my blog is a mess.

    WordPress.com, please help ASAP.

    Contact staff directly via the Contact Support page http://support.wordpress.com/contact and let them know. Perhaps they’ll be able to figure out what’s going on. Make SURE you’re going to the Upgrades page from the dashboard of the blog in question; when you have more than one, it’s a common mistake to be on the wrong one. All dashboards look alike.
