Cannot post a New Post

Is there a simple reason why users registered for a blog, with Author roles, would not be able to find a button or link to add a New Post, and can only see options for posting Comments? As the administrator, when I’m logged on I can see and use my New Post button, but the others claim not to find anything of the sort. Any ideas on what we’re overlooking?

“New Post”? We have a “WRITE” button. Is this a blog hosted at WordPress.com we are talking about, or some other kind of WordPress blog, because the two work quite differently and have two different forums.

Thank you for the reply. In answer, yes, it is a wordpress.com blog, and there is a Write option, but the only time I see that one is as a tab in the Dashboard. Our people (who are not administrators) are having trouble finding the same function on the blog’s home page.

Some browsers with adblock, etc, have trouble displaying the blue admin bar. In that case, simply direct them to the Dashboard itself at http://blogname.wordpress.com/wp-admin.
