Cannot post by mail anymore
-
Hello,
I am used to publish by mail but it stopped working some weeks ago…
I regenerate a private mail address in “My Blogs” section of dashboard.
After that, I can publish 1 article; next one is not published !I don’t understand what is causing that problem.
My mail client is Thunderbird for Windows.I have 3 WordPress blog and 1 blogger so I send one mail to all 4 at once listed in the To: field…
Thanks for help

When you say, “next one is not published”, do you mean to say that the post is not published on your WordPress.com site? Can you check if they’re saved as draft on your WordPress.com dashboard?
To quote from https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/, “For users in the Contributor user role, any emailed posts will be saved as pending, rather than published. They will receive confirmation of their post with the post content in the email, but will not receive a second email when their post is approved.”
Unless the user is in a role higher than the contributor role, the post will not be published and will be rather be saved.
Let me know what the case is. Feel free to get back if you have questions and I will be keen on helping you through it!

Hi there,
I had a look at the emails you attempted to send, and I see the ones where you tried to post to us and Blogger at the same time were flagged as probable spam by our system. Looking at our code, the feature is designed that way if you post to us and another service automatically, as that’s a way spammers have abused the feature in the past.
If you don’t send the post to Blogger in the same email that you send it to us, it should post as expected.
I also want to mention that posting the same content to multiple sites completely ruins your SEO for both sites – search engines penalise you for duplicate content like that, and your content might not appear in search engines for either site because of that.

Hello,
I better understand now… It’s true that Blogger was recently added; I will remove it and re-check… Blogger is Google and I don’t like Google, it was just a test…
About multiple posting, SEO is just stupid as My site on WordPress.com was the first I started and keep it for historical reason (it should not be taken in account by SEO), the second is my main WordPress blog (that SEO could eventually take care) and the third one is a backup/test/staging site (that SEO should not take care).
SEO is the new tyrany on the web ! It makes blogging such complicated (SEO rules/plugins tell you how you must write your posts) that it should be better SEO doesn’t exist and let real people decide what’s good for them !
Is there a way to completely disable SEO, indexing and all these annoyances on a site ? Hard question, I guess …Huge thanks for your analysis and help and sorry for ranting on SEO !

Is there a way to completely disable SEO, indexing and all these annoyances on a site ?
Why would you want to disable SEO? SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, and refers to settings on your site that makes it easier for search engines to see and index your site, ensuring that your site appears as high as possible in the results when someone searches for certain key words in Google and other search engines. Without SEO your site will simply never appear in search results, so the only people who will ever visit it would be those who already knows about it.
It is these search engines that make the rules regarding duplicate content – they have no way of knowing what site is your main site. They just see the same content on multiple sites, and assume it’s either someone trying to manipulate them into showing the content more often in results, or that it’s someone stealing content from another site.
Some search engines, like Google and Bing, have a webmaster interface where you can tell them you own both sites, and tell them to ignore one. But if you don’t tell them they have no way of knowing, and they just won’t show either site in their results.
If you don’t want your WordPress.com site to be indexed by search engines, you can set it to hidden from search engines under My Site ->Settings Privacy. I suggest you do the same with your staging website – if it uses the WordPress software that would be under Settings ->Reading in the WP-Admin dashboard – and maybe even use a plugin to make that site completely private.
Then verify your main site in Google’s Search Console, and make sure to indicate to Google that site is canonical, meaning that’s the site they should index, and the original source of all content you publish.

Thanks for your complete explanation and patience….
I will do My Site ->Settings Privacy change for those site I don’t want to be indexed, then double-check in my search console how it is setup…
I continue to find that too complicated for a small blog like mine…
I don’t really want nor need to be first in Google search page….Several hundreth of people aware of my blog and that’s already fabulous !
I tired to do all stuff to please search engines using SEO and you just end-up spending too much time chasing that and you are also prevented to write stuff as you want !
I don’t want to adapt the flat boring world of unicity behavior… If Google cannot adapt to me, pity ! Human should not have to adapt to robots !
Informatics and Internet should serve humanity without changing actors in slave of rules made for machines….
I really appreciated the time you spent to explain all that I partially already know…
Thank s again
