Cannot Post Comments

  I have been trying to post comments in other bloggers sites but it doesn’t seem to work. For the last couple, when I have hit “submit” I get a “discarded” message. On others it just seems to do nothing – it doesn’t post and I don’t get an “awaiting moderation” message. Can anyone help?

  I am having perhaps the same issue. I tried to post a comment to a friend’s WordPress blog. I tried it without being logged in, I tried it with being logged in. I pressed submit and on one or two occasions, it seemed to register the comment, but his comments balloon still says zero. I’ve closed out my web browser and returned to his page, but still zero comments.

  (Am I going to get used to WordPress or delete this blog SOON and find another provider?)

  OK think i know the solution to this… for a comment to go public on your site you have to approve it – so that insulting or undesirable comments dont automatically go on you blog for everyone to see/be offended by. The person who’s blog you commented on will soon go on, and hopefully “approve” your messages. You will then be able to see the messages you have left

  I’m having the same problem as well, posting any comments takes me straight to the “discarded” page. I’ve tried in both IE and Firefox with no luck.

  I’ve had this problem for two days now. And they’re just innocent comments I’m typing, no foul language, no argument, no links, and nothing offensive. And I, too, don’t get the message, “comment awaiting moderation”.

  Hmm….
