Hi there @plthomasedd,
Have you tried replicating this problem in a different browser? I have just had a look at your site and it appears you’ve been able to write and publish text in the past, so it sounds like this is a brand new problem for you.
Have you recently changed anything to your website (for example the theme or anything else?) – that could provide some clues as to what’s caused this to happen.
-
I relaunched the browser, google chrome, and can post in my other blogs. I posted here at this main blog Friday with no issue and updated an older blog just yesterday.
The template was changed quite a while ago and I haven’t done anything different recently.
-
Ok so the problem is just with this one site. Just to clarify, are we talking about radicalscholarship.wordpress.com.?
It doesn’t sound like it is being caused by the template if you haven’t changed it for quite some time.
Do you have another browser on your computer (such as Firefox) that you could try it on? Just so that we can rule out the possibility of it being a browser related problem!
Have you logged into your older blog again today to see if that is still working fine as well?

Hi there,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble!
You may also want to try clearing the cache on your browser(s.) Here is a site that walks through how to clear the cache in various browsers: http://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/

(Sorry, I wrote from the wrong account!)

Well, only for a few seconds. I went to post and issue came right back …
still will not let me post

Ah no! What a pain.
I haven’t been able to replicate the problem in any of my browsers (Chrome, FireFox and Safari) on my testing sites, so it doesn’t seem to be a site-wide issue at this stage.
Are you getting the same error *(Cannot read property ‘_currentElement’ of null) on your other sites too?

Hey @wirralleaks & @pltthomasedd,
I’ve given this thread the ‘modlook’ tag, which will bring in a member of staff to check it out and see if it is, in fact, a site-wide issue that is affecting you both.

@sbairden, @wirralleaks & @pltthomasedd :
If would be helpful to the team if you could provide us with a little more information, specifically:
-The website address(es) that is having the problem(s)
-What web browser & version you are using (you can go to http://www.whatsmybrowser.org if you’re not sure!)
-If you are using any website or browser extensions. -
Hi there,
Can those of you having trouble with this please check the browser console for any errors? Take a screen shot, and then upload it to your site’s media library, or a service like Cloudup.com, and share the link here so we can see it.
Also please confirm whether you are using the editor at My Site ->Posts. It would help if you can give the exact steps you are following that leads to this error so I can try and replicate it on my side.

Using Safari 10 on Mac and Google Chrome on desktop.
Type Error : undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘t.length)
-
Is this still happening? Can you please take screen shots of the browser console as I asked above? An error message without any context does not help us track this down.
