Cannot post through writer 2011

  Please can someone help me. I am writing a blog as I travel but i cannot seem to post from writer on my laptop.

  when I click publish or post draft it shows the progress screen for a while then says:

  Error attempting to connect to blog at:

  https://hungrytraveller87.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php

  The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.

  I have read around and there doesnt seem to be a difinitive fix for it. Someone has suggested changing some code in the https://hungrytraveller87.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php file but im not sure how to edit this on wordpress.com?

  any help would be much appreciated.

  Surely this has happened to others? Would really appreciate some help as the workpress guys are not taking support requests.

  Hi there hungry, it’s just started to happen to me allend66 (English Oracle II) and I think it started about 1 week after there was an upgrade to Windows Live Writer. Although I poseted within the 1st week ok, now every time I try & post I get network connection error. This happens about 4 times till eventually it posts online but it’s a pain in the neck. WLW is version 2011, build 15.4.3555.308.

  hi allend66, I found out that it was a problem on the wifi that I was using at a particular hostel. Now that ive moved to another place it seems to work fine and I can post successfully. Hope you get yours sorted!
