Cannot Publish or Save New Posts

I’ve been trying to publish a new post for the last couple of hours but to no avail. The post has been auto saved. The minute I click on Publish or Save I get redirected to an error page which asks me to report the error. I have tried this on two browsers, Firefox and IE 6.0, both on Windows XP… on two different desktops. I have reported the error but wondered if anyone else has the same issues. Another thing is that my tags are not saved and I have to enter them all over again everytime I try to publish.

Thank you for your useful reply. I do not recall having posted this twice. I was wondering if other people had the same problem or if I was the only person experiencing this. As mentioned, the error was reported.

You might want to try logging out of wordpress, clearing your browser cache and cookies, restarting the browser and then trying again. Don’t know if that will help or not.
Also, you might want to think about upgrading IE6 to 7 or 8. It is nearly 9 years old (which is several millennia in web years) and it is quickly being left behind.
