Cannot 'read' blog – it gets redirected to GoDaddy site
-
I can no longer ‘read’ my blog, it gets redirected to a default GoDaddy site (I mapped the wordpress site to caseywaltz.com via GoDaddy, currently it’s configuring it, but I’d like to edit it in the meantime), for some reason I cannot even access my own site. I will check back in a few hours after the mapping is done, but is this typical?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The only site we have on record for you is http://caseyewaltz.wordpress.com/
The admin for said site is located at https://caseyewaltz.wordpress.com/wp-admin/I do not see a domain mapping setup for it: https://caseyewaltz.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
What domain name are you trying to setup for the site?

Thanks! Now when I type in the domain of caseywaltz.com it redirects to the correct site (caseyewaltz.wordpress.com) but instead of keeping caseywaltz.com in the browser bar it changes to caseyewaltz.wordpress.com. I think the masking option is still processing through GoDaddy. They said it could take up to 48 hours to go into effect. So I think I just have to wait for that to happen.

Oh, yeah, what you setup if very weird… What I’m seeing under http://caseywaltz.com/ is a page under that domain that then includes and displays http://caseyewaltz.wordpress.com/
Said page is hosted by GoDaddy.
You could leave it like that, but I’d expect some problems (search engines will likely not find the content, etc).
What you should do is properly map your domain to use our DNS servers, as per the documentation above. That’s the only way to ensure caseywaltz.com is truly running on http://caseyewaltz.wordpress.com/
The option you have selected at the moment is not something we can support, as control of the domain and options sits on the GoDaddy end.
