Cannot remove Leave a Reply option from the pages

  I do not want the ‘Leave a reply’ form below every page that I create.
  I either want them only for Posts or not at all. I tried the Disable comments option but the ‘Leave a Reply’ option is not removed.
  Pls help.

  Hi there,

  To remove the “Leave a Reply” or comments option from pages that already exist, go to Pages>all pages on your dashboard.

  If you hover your mouse over the title of each page, you’ll see some editing options appear. Click “Quick Edit” and then uncheck the “allow comments” box and then click “update.” Follow that same procedure for each page until all the comment sections are gone.

  To keep the comment section from appearing on new pages go to Settings>Discussion and uncheck the box next to “allow people to post comments on new articles” (This is probably what you did before you left your question–which was the right thing to do, it just doesn’t work retroactively)
