Cannot remove share buttons.

I want to remove “all” the share buttons… I have not actively selected any of the share buttons… I have made sure that all the check boxes under “show buttons on” are unchecked… and saved the changes… I have gone to the individual pages and unchecked the “sharing” and saved the changes.. and have repeated this process over and over but the “show buttons on” keeps resetting itself to check “posts” and “pages” (I assure you I have saved the changes, over and over and over again).
The buttons are still showing include: guests, my own blog, twitter, and facebook. Please help me sort this out as it is very important that the information on my blog is NOT shared in this manner. (0.00 seconds)

Those are NOT sharing buttons but ways for your visitors to log in. They cannot be removed:

(Except of course if you turn off comments on that post or page)Please help me sort this out as it is very important that the information on my blog is NOT shared in this manner.
Reminder: as long as your blog is public, even if you turn off sharing buttons, people will still be able to share your posts on Facebook, Twitter (or any social media) manually.

Thank you for that. At least I understand now what is going on so I won’t beat myself up any longer trying to find a solution.
