Cannot renew domain

My domain expired at the end of January. I attempted to renew it before the expiration date by going into ‘Manage Purchases’ and selecting ‘renew now’.
Whenever I do this, it takes me to the ‘Checkout’ window, but it never seems to complete the purchase. Instead it just flashes and says ‘Loading…’ forever.
I have tried to pay innumerable times and this always happens. Then, before my domain was about to expire, I got an email saying ‘your domain will auto-renew on Jan 29’, so I thought the problem was solved. Then, yesterday I get an email saying that my domain has expired. Once again I am trying to pay, but everything gets stuck at the checkout page.
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME?

I found that you got in touch by email, we’ve replied already. Since it’s a Gmail account, our messages can go to the Spam folder or the Social tab.

Thank you Carinapilar- the email did go to my spam folder, so thank for sorting that out.
In the end, it looks like I was able to renew through the WP admin site, but not the wordpress.com/purchases site. The reasons for this are still unclear. If I get some clarity on why that happened I will post it to the thread.
