cannot reply to comment because it is "on draft post" but the post is published

  a comment is appearing on a “draft post” so i can’t reply, but the post is already published on my blog.

  also i had to re-label all my posts as “sticky” so they would show up on the front page.

  what’s going on today?

  the comment doesn’t appear here for some reason. but it does show up on the dashboard under comments. the reader couldn’t access the rest of the post from the “read more” link on the front page and was commenting about that.

  Interesting. What shows when you go to the dashboard Comments page? Does it show on the drop down notifications?

  yes it shows up under the comments page. i just can’t reply and it doesn’t show up on the post.

  You may have reset the number of posts to display at Setting > Reading, and forgotten.

  A single post cannot be both published and in draft status. Is it possible that you created two drafts, published one (which later received a comment), returned it to draft status, and published the other draft?
