Cannot save and publish to secondary account

    I’ve been added to another’s account where I can upload and publish. When I log in and try to ‘SAVE’ and ‘Preview’ or ‘Publish’ I get the message ‘Cannot be saved.’ What do I do?

    Hi @lyndafiller,

    Can you please send us the site URL where you have been added to? Is it also a WordPress.com site?

    If so, can you please confirm (or contact the person who has added you) what User Role you have been assigned to?

    The reason why you can’t “Save” or “Publish” a post can be caused by many reasons. One of them depends on the what Role you have on the site.

    Once you can confirm both things above, we can then look further at what problem you could have here.

    Yes it’s WordPress and shows up as a site that I can switch to Lynda Filler. Everything appears fine. I can write a post but it’s not saved. This site has many other poets who post. Poetry Passion. I will copy the link https://www.merejazbaat.com

    Hi @lyndafiller,

    The http://www.merejazbaat.com is hosted on Bluehost, therefore, it might be a self-hosted WordPress.org site. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

    In case you haven’t known, here is the difference between a WordPress.com site with a self-hosted WordPress.org site:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you can switch to your own WordPress.com site (Lynda Filler), most probably the owner of the second site has connected their site to WordPress.com services using Jetpack.

    This Forum is only for WordPress.com sites support. Any issues with WordPress.org sites should be addressed on the WordPress.org Support Forum:

    That being said, you can ask the site owner whether this issue also happens to other users (poets) or just you. If it’s just you, you might want to ask if there is any difference in your privilege setting or such.

    But if it happens also to others, then there might be a theme/plugin conflict or such.
