Cannot seem to get Gallery to work

    I have about 60 or so posts each with an image attached to them.

    I’m now to the point were I would like to put the images in a gallery that links to each individual post.

    I’ve read through the Gallery support page and some other websites about setting up a gallery, but I’m still confused as heck.

    I’ve created a Page that I want to use. I go to upload an image, but there is no Gallery tab.

    I would like to use all the images that I’ve already uploaded. The only time I can seem to find a Gallery tab is when I edit a post and go to that posts insert image button.

    Well here’s what I can get so far.

    Putting in [gallery] just seems to give a blank page.

    If I put in [gallery id=number] I get the picture from the post. Which is fine I don’t mind putting in every post number to get a nice looking gallery, but all I get is a single column of picture like this. Not perfect, but ok.

    How do I get the pictures to link to their attached post, not the files page?

    If I’m doing this incorrectly please let me know. Is the theme gallery compatible?

    The Gallery feature is originally meant for uploading and inserting multiple images into a single Post or Page and the Gallery Tab will appear in the Image Uploader after you’ve uploaded a number of images at the same time.

    You can use the feature as you have done on a single gallery (small “g”) Page by using the post id number. You may want to refine the Gallery shortcode on that Page so that you are displaying slightly larger thumbnail images rather than the small thumbnail. In the HTML Editor for that Page, try [ gallery id=”xx” columns=”2″ size=”medium” ] (without the spaces after and before the brackets).

    On the gallery page you’ve created, where you are pulling in images from several Posts, the thumbnails link to an attachment page and clicking on the image in the attachment page displays the larger image.

    Those photos DO link to their corresponding post, but only in the “breadcrumb” title.
