Cannot share my post on facebook

I can share the post that I create right now. But for my old post I cannot share those
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey animemonsterweb,
I can see only one post on your blog “Fullmetal HEART.” (by the way, epic one!).
You published this post, and that is the reason you can share it to the social networks of your choice.
If you created other posts, I assume they are still drafts.
You will need to go to your Blog Posts page in the main dashboard and publish them. This way you will be able to share them further.Let me know if this solves your issue.
Cheers!

Hi blazevivan,
The new blogs that I publish are getting published on wordpress and facebook, but the problem is with the blog “Fullmetal HEART” I am trying to share it on facebook but it is not working.
-
Hi @animemonsterweb,
Sounds like the issue is not with the publicity of the posts, but rather the sharing – is it giving you any kind of error when you try to share it?
I can confirm that the blog post you are talking about ‘Fullmetal HEART’ is indeed showing as published to me, and when I try to share it I run into no problems.
Can you tell me if it is only Facebook sharing that is providing this problem for you, and if you’ve tried sharing it on other platforms such as Twitter or Email? It would help us to understand if your problem lies with the publicize/sharing itself or just with Facebook.

Hi annacmc,
No it is not giving me any kind of error when I try to share it.
I have linked it with my twitter still the same result.
-
Oh dear, that sounds frustrating!
Perhaps we can run through what happens step-by-step and see if that helps to identify where the problem is.
Is it the sharing buttons at the bottom of the post where you are clicking to share it? Where is says “SHARE THIS:” and lists a few options such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ ?
If that is the sharing button that you are using, what happens when you click on it – do you get any kind of pop-up at all?
Sorry if this feels a little repetitive, such is the nature of understanding these kinds of problems :)

HI annacmc,
No not that share button I am talking about the auto share from the edit blog post.
Check it out: https://i.imgur.com/iG4AqLI.png

Aha right!
Sorry about that, I was off on a totally different tangent there. Thanks for sharing the screenshot – that helps me to understand much better what you are having troubles with!
So you say this has worked previously with other posts? And that you are getting no error – it simply isn’t sharing upon publish.
The documentation for this feature (publicize) is located at https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/ and it outlines there some of the reasons why the feature might fail:
Common Reasons Why a Post Failed to Publicize
If you schedule a post, it will not be publicized until it is actually published.
Saving a post as a draft will not publicize it.
Static pages will not be publicized.
If you have trouble with your posts not being sent to a specific service, disconnecting/reconnecting will often help fix it. See the instructions above for how reconnect for each different Publicize service. After connecting/reconnecting the services, you need to publish a new post to test if Publicize is reconnected.Could you try disconnecting and reconnecting your connection to Facebook (or Twitter) to see if this helps resolve the issue?
Also I see you only have one public post on this site – have you sucessfully had this feature working on https://animemonsterweb.wordpress.com before (on a different post)?

Hi annacmc,
I tried sharing new post and it works. But for this old post it is not working. I created this post on 14 july but today I connected my facebook into it.
-
Great news that it works for new posts, and I think now I understand what the problem might be.
Publicize only works on brand new posts, it will not share an old post for you that was published before you activated this feature.
As per the Jetpack support documents for Publicize:
Publicize only works for brand new posts that have never been published before. You cannot re-publicize something once it has already been published.
On the WordPress.com Premium plan and Business plan users have another option to go and re-share content, but it is not available on WordPress.com free plans.
The good news is that all future posts should successfully share to Facebook (and any other social media accounts you attach).
The slightly less good news is for this one post in particular, you will need to share it manually with your audience (for example by using the share buttons on the page of the post, or copy-pasting the link into Facebook yourself).
Unless of course you are a Premium or Business plan member, in which case I can provide you with further information on how to re-share this post.
