Cannot sign in to Gravatar

I’m trying to change my Gravatar. From the https://wordpress.com/me page, I have selected “Update Profile Photo” and then “Sign in with WordPress.com”.
However, after signing in to Gravatar using my WordPress.com account, I’m greeted by a page which reads,
We sent you a confirmation email! …
I’ve visited the “WordPress.com help page” link and re-sent myself a few new activation emails, but no matter how many times I confirm my account, I cannot make it past this screen.

I am also having this problem. I am constantly getting told to sign in to gravatar but every time I click on the link in the confirmation e-mail, I come back to the same screen asking me to sign in to gravatar.
