Cannot sign up a for new blog – reserved domain name and deleted blog.

    Hi everyone. I am trying to register a blog called either “abasin” or “caravanserai” . For both of these I get an error.
    For abasin, I am told the blog is ‘reserved’ but when I look for the abasin.wordpress.com website, I am redirected to the signup page

    Similarly, when I check the ‘caravanserai.wordpress.com’ page, it tells me the blog has been deleted but I still cannot seem to register the name for myself

    What’s going on? I really need one of these two names and I am stumped so as to why wordpress.com wont let me sign up for either.

    For several reasons wordpress.com policy is not to recycle domain names, even ones that have been abandoned. Take a look at this and I think you’ll agree it makes sense.
