Cannot Sign Up for Account

  Hi
  I am trying to set up a new WordPress.com account and am unable to do so.
  I already have an account myself and am attempting to set an account up for a different family member who will be using a different email address.
  I can confirm that I have:

  Logged out of my own wordpress account

  Cleared browser cache

  Deleted all wordpress.com cookies

  I enter the account sign up screen, and enter all account details I wish to use all of which are validated in green (ie username available etc)

  There is just no option to sign up – only for a free trial of a non free account.

  I have tried clicking through these and then rejecting the free trial, but when doing so am returned to the sign up screen.
  Appreciate any guidance and advice
