Cannot sort and organise pictures in media library

  Ever since starting my blog I’ve been having trouble adding pictures the way I wanted. First I added a widget with a gallery of photo’s, later on I created a page specifically for photo’s. The thing is, when I add pictures for some reason the oldest pics always come first, and when I want to update my library I have to reverse the order of my pictures first, as the oldest pictures are now listed last (after reversing the order per my preference), and new pictures are added at the end so after the oldest pictures.

  Turns out this extra work wasn’t so bad compared to what has happened now. I just wanted to add pictures, but apparently the media library has gotten an update (i.e. it has been stripped down eve more) and there’s no possibility to sort pictures, nor to reverse the order of them. Even worse, when I just uploaded my pictures, they were added in random order, not in the order of which they were selected.

  According to the support pages there’s supposed to be a link to media in the main menu on the left, but aside from “view site; stats; plan; blog posts; pages; themes; menu; sharing; people; plugins; domains; settings” there is nothing in my menu that links to media. The only way to get there is by going to a page or blog post and clicking the add media option.

  I hope this can be resolved, as otherwise I’ll be forced to blog somewhere else.
